Throughout your driving lessons James you certainly put the experience you already have riding your motorcycle to good use. If there was anything you were unsure of, you told me straight away and kept asking questions until you were happy you had a good understanding, enabling us to run through those situations to make sure you were confident dealing with them.

Early Christmas Present

That's a nice early Christmas present for yourself James, all you need now is that little Citroen C2 you've promised yourself and you can park your motorbike up for the winter and stay warm travelling to and from work these next few months!

All you need do now is arrange your car insurance, dust the Ford Focus off, grab those car keys and go for a spin. Might pay to wait until the sun comes out, save you having to wash it straight after!

Having ridden motorcycles for the last few years Dave decided to try four wheels instead of two and booked driving lessons with ourselves leading up to his driving test.

Happy to Step In and Help!

After taking several driving lessons with another driving instructor and having been unsuccessful at his first driving test attempt, Dave decided to give Simply Driving Tuition a call. We were more than HAPPY to step in and offer any advice we could to help Dave PASS his next practical driving test.

No More Getting Soaked To The Bone

Even though it was pouring with rain on your driving test Dave, you were sitting nice and warm and dry in the driving school car, not getting soaked through to the bone as you would normally be on your motorbike. Guess you've got creature comforts like a heater and windscreen wipers to look forward too now!

I know it took a couple of attempts to pass Abbe but, next driving lesson you asked lots of questions about the problem on test and got plenty of practise in those situations when possible.

Practise Makes Perfect!

Over the next few driving lessons you kept practising what you had learnt with your driving instructor as well as gaining more experience with pedestrian crossings in busy areas during half term, Pallion shopping centre certainly springs to mind!

This time round you didn't seem quite so nervous going for your driving test, which I'm sure helped boost your confidence just that little bit more.

Everyone's a Little Nervous on the Day!

If anyone tells you they weren't nervous before their driving test - DON'T BELIEVE THEM!

Even experienced drivers get a few butterfly's before test, it's only natural. You certainly kept on top of those nerves and put in an absolutely 'cracking' drive, even with the Driving Examiner mispronouncing your name!

Rebecca, you mentioned on your driving lessons leading up to your test that you were starting to feel a bit nervous. Well, you certainly didn’t let your nerves get the better of you and you had an absolutely cracking drive.

You also told me that you have been learning to drive on and off for a couple of years now and that you were unsure if the day you sat a driving test would ever arrive. That day has arrived and you can be proud that you PASSED with flying colours!!

You’re the first to acknowledge that your concentration isn’t the greatest at the best of times Rebecca! Feeling Scared – REALLY?

When I text you the night before your driving test to remind you which documents to bring with you, you text back saying how scared you were feeling about your test.

You certainly didn’t look that scared the following morning when I picked you up Yvonne, either that or you’re picking up a few tips from your partner Mark on how to look relaxed on the outside whilst feeling a little anxious on the inside!!

A Life Changing Experience

On your first driving lesson with myself Yvonne, you mentioned having previously taken several driving lessons and a driving test with another driving school about three years ago. You also said that at the time you didn’t feel ready or confident enough to go for a driving test.

I hope this time around, deep down you felt more confident in your own ability behind the wheel and that has helped you to PASS your driving test!

Having both you and Mark just recently purchased a Volkswagen Polo, no doubt you’ll be itching to get behind the wheel and clock up a few miles on a sunny afternoon drive. Lets just hope there aren’t too many arguments about who’s driving!

Paul passed his driving test 1st attempt at South Shields driving test centre with only 5 recorded driving faults!

Just Like Riding a Bike! 

"Even though you hadn't driven a car before your first driving lesson with Simply Driving Tuition Driving School, we soon established you were commuting to and from work on a mountain bike and were able to draw similarities between riding a bicycle and driving a motor vehicle.

Brakes to slow you down, steering to turn corners and gears to help you make progress, they all do the same job no matter what type of vehicle it is.

Experience Counts

Not only did you quickly gain confidence with basic vehicle control, you also transferred your experience in dealing with traffic into your driving as well, although at times you did need a little encouragement…

Once or twice I seem to remember asking, “Would you have pulled out there if you had been on your bike?” and you replied “Yes, I wouldn’t have thought twice!”

No worries, you got there in the end and got a cracking test result.

It won’t be long before your driving home to see family and friends in Ulverston, no doubt your girlfriend is looking forward to a relaxing journey in the passenger seat!
